As a company, it is imperative for us to recognize and comprehend these risks and impacts to effectively mitigate and manage them. This we do by conducting human rights due diligence and ensuring that we conduct risk assessments on an ongoing basis across our operations.

Respecting human rights is an integral part of our business, and we strive to understand and manage the potential risks to people across our operations including the supply chain, business partnerships, our own operations, product and service deliveries as well as end users.
As a global company with complex value chains, Tietoevry acknowledges the prevalence of possible human rights risks in some of the markets where we operate and some of the technologies we develop or deploy. We recognize that amongst our salient issues are freedom of opinion and expression, non-discrimination, privacy, and labour rights. Additional areas with human rights implications include conflict minerals when sourcing hardware, corruption, and negative impacts on the environment.
Beyond respecting human rights, Tietoevry believes in the active support of human rights in the various geographical locations where we operate, and we aim to use our leverage in this respect. Our stance is evident in our constant efforts to ensure access and availability to crucial services and societal functions that enable rights, such as healthcare, education, and jobs. In our own operations we enable equal opportunities for our employees by ensuring fair treatment and a culture of diversity and inclusion.

The Norwegian Transparency Act (Norwegian: "Åpenhetsloven") requires Tietoevry, amongst other large companies resident in Norway or foreign companies offering products and services or with tax liabilities in Norway, to carry out and account for due diligence for human rights and decent working conditions.
