Peppol Payment‎ - ISO20022 bank messaging

Business Information Exchange (BIX) is an authorized provider of Peppol Access Point Services. We let you be part of an open global network for exchanging bank and business documents.

This is how Peppol works

Communicate efficiently with Peppol Payment

Business Information Exchange (BIX) provides a service for Peppol Payment that supports payments (ISO20022). Peppol Payment is built on standard Peppol components with extended functionality for security and compression.

The 4-corner model supports transport receipts that ensure good traceability and provides a common communication solution for all registered recipients (banks, companies).

BIX Peppol Services operates one of the world's largest access points for Peppol services. We have long and broad experience from all Peppol's business areas. Tietoevry has been certified access point since 2012.

The Peppol infrastructure standardizes communication parties. It provides a public address registry to make it easy to find parties. Once connected to the Peppol eDelivery Network (via a Peppol Access Point), all participants, both banks, public agencies and private enterprises can quickly and easily reach any trading partner, within the Peppol Network.

What we do

Formal requirements for exchange of documents

The service will only handle files packed in ASiC-E containers with SBDH. This means that all encryption, decryption, and signing must be handled either in corner 1 (bank customer as sender) or corner 4 (bank customer as receiver). The size of the received ASiC-E cannot exceed 2 GB, in accordance with the current requirements in the payment domain for access points.

Technical documentation related to Peppol Payment which can be found here. https://anskaffelser.dev/payment/

Transport receipts

Tietoevry will comply with the standard requirements for receipts as defined and will also offer RC2 and RC3 receipts. The service supports the handling of RC4/b receipts, which will be delivered from corner 4 to corner 1.

According to the requirements defined in rulebook [1], there is a requirement that an RC4/b receipt should be returned to corner 1 within 30 minutes, thus missing RC4/b receipts may indicate that the document has not arrived. The service can provide an automatic email notification if the receipt is not received within 30 minutes.

In addition, the service supports receipts from corners 2 and 3.

Encryption

ASiC-E (Associated Signature Containers - Extended) is a new component introduced in the Enhanced Peppol eDelivery network. The file format is used to package data of different types in a zip folder (ASiC-E archive). Each ASiC-E archive can contain payment (ISO 20022 message), additional information, or related metadata protected with a signature.

Tietoevry follows current requirements for communication between access points are set by Peppol authorities.
